International Women’s Day

My Homage to the feminine energy and all women who are loud in their demands for equality,  to the women who quietly direct us towards peace.  To all the women who nurture life being our gentle warriors abandoning ego to service the human race, I thank you and I am honored to share  one of these women in pictures.  While in Tibet on the Shining Spirit project, Jamyang’s sister-in-law Watima was our host.  She was not much for words but her  dedication to her faith and making sure everybody was taken care of was astounding.  I saw her unafraid to be vulnerable while maintaining strength in her posture and demeanor.  She was up at the crack of dawn praying and was one of the last to retire to bed.  She smiled and laughed and never showed her fatigue which I’m sure was her companion.  Because of this she enabled the projects success.  She was like our stage manager  keenly aware of every movement that needed to take place.  She cared for everybody in that small valley around the  house we stayed in.  She treated all the children like they were her own.  She felt like a sister, a mother, a representative for Tibetans.
